2005 Impala LS Noisy A/C Compressor!!

Anyone have the same problem?? Every time I turn on my A/C it makes such a loud noise when running... once I turn it off, you can't even hear the engine running!

Also, once it’s on and I’m on the highway the car sounds like its really being forced. I noticed my RPM needle would jump from 0 to 1, when in idle and the a/c is on.

Any Suggestions??
