Speedo problem

Hi, I have a 92 prelude si 4ws.
I got a problem with the speedometer not working.
Just replaced my vehicle speed sensor but still not working,
but the code still reads the vss is the problem.
Should I've replaced the power steering sensor where the vss is mounted on top. but then again there is no problem with the power steering.
or is there some other electrical problem I that I should check.
confused...
Thanks

Re: Speedo problem

update,
found a repair guide and tried everything on the page,
<<http://techauto.te.funpic.org/vss.php#sand>>
and found out the drive link wasnt turning when i spin the wheel. I checked the gear on the speed/steering sensor and it seemed to be working fine until I stuck my finger in the the tranny to find out that the gear on the differential that turns the speed sensor gear is loose and i can spin it freely with my finger.
I'm not sure how it got loose, any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Speedo problem

I think vibrations and no attention worked it loose, but anythings possible.
