Falling apart on me...

Hi everyone:
2002 Quad Cab 4x4 w/ 5.9L. About 80K miles.
Two things driving me absolutely crazy:
1. When I turn on the left turn signal it now blinks very rapidly. Right side is normal.
2. There is an intermittent sporadic audible beep coming from the instrument panel. I tried to determine if it correlated to any specific action or movement on the truck, but it doesn't. It is the same tone as when there is an actual error, but there are no indicator lights at all. This is very frustrating.

Any ideas for me? Thanks in advance!

Kyle

it's probably the terminals that the bulb(s) sit in that is going bad or is corroded. Just remove the turn signal bulb(s) and look in to the socket for any dirty areas or corrosion. If u find any you should use a good rust penetrant and rag and clean it. That aught to do it.

Re: Falling apart on me...

My issues are resolved for now:

The fast flasher was caused by burnt out turn signal. I feel kinda silly about that one.

The intermittent beep was coming from the timer module. They told me it was a compuetr that controls everything to do with the interior. It cost me $300 for parts and labor to get rid of that little beep. I almost wish I would have just turned up the stereo. Oh well...

Thanks for all the suggestions...
