Does an engine have to be 15 years old to import into Canada?

I doubt it, there are a lot of companies that sell jdm engines. You might be better off just buying an engine when you get back to canada.

I hope you`re right. My ride has to be 15 years old to get into Canada, so I`m leaning towards a 92-95 civic hatch and drop a B18C(94-97) into it here in Japan, I have a friend who will hook me up with his shop for tuning and swapping.
I have my fingers crossed that he`ll do a RDH to LHD conversion, if so I`m shipping a complete car home for my driving pleasure.
