Rear Wiper
How do I set the Rear Wiper Blade on my 2005 Mountaineer? It is overshooting the window and hitting the rear door. I move it back to the window but it continually goes around to the door. Any help?

Re: Rear Wiper
Which part of the stroke is overshooting the window? Is it the "up" stroke, or the "down" stroke where it would stop and park? Is it only overshooting to the door when you turn the wipers off?
I'm not sure about the 2005, but on my 2000 Mountaineer the wiper arm is supposed to park below the rear window glass. That allows the window to open independently of the rear gate. From your description, I'm not sure if that is what you are describing. If the wiper arm does not park properly and overshoots on the "up" stroke, then your arm may be off by a tooth or two. You can remove the wiper arm and reposition to a different spline. -Rod |
