electrical going nuts

when i start the car (2001 grand prix gt) all is ok when i turn the key and take it out the car will still run for a few seconds then all the lights on the dash will stay on. when i open the door its beeping telling me the key is still in the ignition.
please help

Welcome to AF.

I'd check into the possibility of a flaky ignition key lock cylinder or the ignition switch and harness assembly. The sensor for the chime and warning is located in the ignition key lock cylinder.
