Shaking and Stutterting Problem
I NEED HELP!!!!
Just recently, while driving my car started to Shake a little, and it seemed to have some power loss. When I came to a stop, the car shook a little at Idle, but when it turned green and I went the car was shaking pretty severly at the low rpms. As I went faster, every time it would shift, the shaking would increase. As it got to a higher RPM, the shaking would diminish, but would still be there, and even going 70 MPHs I could feel the shaking. I have read many other forums and they say it could be something to do with the spark system. I Just changed the Wires and Plugs and the Cap and Rotor look fine. Could the Ignition Coil be the cause? Any Help would be Greatly Appreciated!!! Todd |

Re: Shaking and Stutterting Problem
what kind of car, engine size, year, etc would help, but go back over your work, check that a sparkplug wire is not loose or not crossed with another, check the ends and boots of the wires too for signs the metal connections in the boots may have come loose when you changed the wires.

Re: Shaking and Stutterting Problem
sounds like one cylinder isnt firing, or its firing out of order.
when you change plugs, wires, and do distributor work, you have to be ABSOLUTELY certain that you are putting the wires back in the right place. i do plugs and wires one at a time to avoid this problem. it definitely sounds like a firing problem though. |
