What are these made of?

My Brother has a new Malibu, with nice wheels, he ran it through a car wash and the wheels got all scratched up!

Aluminum.. I'd probably try buffing it out with Mother's aluminum wheel polish.

Try posting in a general exterior appearance/detailing forum.
