Abs Mod!

Ok, I have an 89 XJ 4.0 auto. with the old ABS system, I have read the posts about the convertion, so I bought the booster and M/C. Install went great, just need to stop at a junk yard for lines. My question is regarding the wiring harness. It seems that there is a harness just for the ABS under the hood, is this true or are there other circuits running in this bundle. I am looking to remove as much crap from under the hood as possible. So before I go hacking the harness I thought I would ask. Also, I noticed that there is a porportioning valve with the ABS system, can I use this, or should I just get one from the junk yard?

Re: Abs Mod!

Hey GT, IMHO....are you still running that ABS?

Just switch in the non-ABS stuff which should be readily available.

Re: Abs Mod!

Nope, no more ABS. As I was removing stuff, I found that the previous owner had tried to work on it, but the processor was fried! I have since gone to the junk yard and found all the brake lines and P. valve for $15. Not too bad, now just to find time to get it installed.
