Still having trouble with the park avenue. It starts great, and idles great until the darn thing warms up a bit. Then it just stalls. If you keep on the throttle, it will run good, but soon as you let off some RPM's, it stalls.
Its throwing a 26 code, but I cant seem to find out what that is. I am thinking that the computer is bad, but why would that only go bad when the car warms up.
Any other ideas?

i can't say whether the computer is bad or not, but i will explain how it works. when you first start you car it operates in "open loop" which means operations like spark timing, and injector pulse are operated on a preset program. after the car warms up the computer goes into "closed loop". in closed loop the computer uses signals from sensors such as o2, maf or map, tp, and ect to determin spark and fuel timing. hopefully someone familiar with code 26 will offer some more advise. good luck.

Heres an update to the problems. after first post here, after it cooled down a bit, I went out to start it. It was hard to start, and after about 10 mins of battleing it, it started and moved for me. Then it just smoothed out and ran good. I let it idle for about 30 mins, and it never stalled. Then I drove it, went and got gas, and never stalled. Went up and down the expressway, stop starts in the city, no problems.
Then last nite went to move it, it went back to stalling, and wouldnt stay running.
This morning, I put new O2 sensor in it, and tried it. It started good, warmed up and crapped out. One funny thing, was when it stalled, and the ignition was on, the radiator fans were click clakking and trying to run. You could hear what sounded like relays going crazy. Heres the next funny part, when I put the diagnose tool on to get my trouble codes, with the ignition on, the fans ran smooth, then soon as the diagnose tool was pulled, back to click clakkity.

Any one want to buy a half running PA?

**UPDATE** Went thru and did the MAF sensor cleaning trick, removed it and cleaned and degresased with a electric cleaner. Also cleaned up the throttle body with some cleaner. New air filter too. it runs great again, no stalls, drove for about 10 miles. Gonna let cool off, then try again. Hopefully thats it. Will get a new MAF for stand-by

where do you live im interested
