Talking Rubik's Magic Owns Me

I just found my old one at my parent's house, and it's awesome. I cheated and looked up the solution... () ... but now I can't put it down.

I have the red and yellow one, like this:

(Mine's old; I got no hint booklet! )

I used to have a black/spectrum one... but I broke the wires...

I always used to pull mine apart and then put it back together in the right order. I was a big cheat!

The Magic or do you mean a Cube? It's a mega-pain-in-the-ass to get the Magic apart and an even bigger pain to get it restrung. And heaven help you if a wire breaks! :o

Oops, yes it was the cube. :o I never had a Rubiks Magic. I would no doubt have given it a go if I had of had one though.

I've had all sorts of Rubik's puzzles:

Rubik's Cube (never solved it; took it apart)
Rubik's Clock (never solved it)
Rubik's Magic (black version (broke it ) and red version )
Rubik's Missing Link (never solved it; took it apart)
Rubik's Fifteen (never solved it; took it apart)
Rubik's Orb (may not have actually been a Rubik's product... )

I never had Rubik's Dice, and I've never really figured out how it worked...

Puzzles are more fun when you don't take them apart.

Now I want to try and find a Rubik's Master Magic. :coolguy:

I love that toy, I can make the cube with it..http://www.geocities.com/jaapsch/puz...gic.htm#cubsol

Bit of advice: Don't leave Magic in the back of the car for several weeks in summer. The wires will permanently warp the plastic, and when you put it back in the car squashed between your Sears Craftsman toolset and a book, (to flatten it back out, of course) the toolset's zip-up cover will react with the Magic's plastic and turn it all cloudy. Then you will have a warped, cloudy Magic like I do.

I haven't timed myself in a long time.

Besides, I only have 15 or so Rubik's products, not nearly enough.

For a real challenge:

That darned thing took me 35 minutes. And I kept having to look at it upside down so I didn't get confused.

About 2 years ago, I could solve any Rubik's Cube in 2.5 minutes. I was pretty good. But I got bored with it and haven't solved it since.

About this Rubik's Magic. Is it small enough that I could fold it up and keep it in my wallet? It sounds like something cool to have around if you ever get bored.

It folds to about 2" x 4" x .5" thick. Not wallet-size, but shirt-pocket or glove-box size for sure.

I've never solved the Cube. In fact, I've only succeeded in getting pissed off at it and throwing it out the window.

I suck at all those things

holy moly! That hurts! It's kinda like trying to solve the cube by only looking at one side, tried that the first time at Taco Bell in St. George and I didn't even touch my food once. Big time head ache!
