Wtb 240sx 1994,1995

Hey im new to the world of creating a beasty car. the problem is that i have no car that i can actually beef up.

MY PLANS

i would like a 1995 240SX ,SE,SE-R under $4,000
thats what i want to do to begin with.

if i could get any help or some one go out his/her way to find one located in North Carolina/South Carolina/ Virgina that would be most helpful

i live in Jacksonville, NC
so people around here go bunkers over "FWD Hondas" which i know if i had a 240sx ppl would actually look at them differently down here

MY FUTURE PLANS.

GETTING A 240SX
GETTING A RB25DET, or Sr20DET which ever i can make street legal and a daily driver.

then thats all i have money for now.

i recommend thinking this out completely. the sr or rb aren't technically legal in the US, but most can get away with it easily. get your 240sx first drive it around get a feel for it and choose what you want not what everyone else thinks is cool. good luck though and don't forget to think.

Yeah, JDM motors are not legal. Personally, I am going turbo the KA or maybe even supercharge, not sure yet but I will build the motor first. If you want something really different, try a Mitsubishi Starion turbo. They dont look as good as a 240 but they are faster.

meh, the 4g53 doesn't impress me too much but it's the heritage of a good motor platform.

As for the motor I don't know about everyone else but, I don't like buing motors that I can't at least check out. If you dont mind the drive you can pick a motor up, these guys have never done me wrong.

well i thought about the sr more beacuse my family has a guy who does or cars and he has inpection place there as well. we also got 2 import shops one of those would help me out for emisssion and shit like that. but i do understand that KA would probably be better but i want to see all the options i can get out of the KA before i go for the SR.RB25 would be nice tho

what can i do to the KA that really wouldnt make a difference if i had an SR?
