throttlebody spacers

I have a 1992 gmc sierra 5.7 tbi,I wanted to put in a poweraid spacer and was wondering will I need any fuel line extension fittings,or anything outside of of what comes with the spacer.Thanks for any help

I have a '94 that I put a spacer on and it and you don't need any type of extension. The instructions will tell you to loosen the bracket that holds the fuel supply line on the top of the bell house. It is very easy and strait forward, but I will recommend to get some gasket tack or other type of adhesive to hold the gaskets in to place.

what is the advantage of the TB spacer? more power, mileage ?What is the cost and where did you get yours?

i put one on my 97 vortec 5.7 from trans dapt . the old girl has 217 and some change on her original parts and i can feel a noticeable difference in the bottom end and as such my fuel mileage has suffered even more as i have a lead foot. no i didn't need any special parts and everything went right back together with no snafu's

moved the battery to the bed with a homemade relocation kit , then sealed up the factory inlet on the air box put a 3inch hole in the front glued a pvc fitting in it then routed a 3inch hose to down under the bumper capped with a oval exhaust tip painted flat black, oh and notched the spoiler so it would fit, and viola homemade ram air and between it and the addition of a k&n filter noticed a difference.

I have the Helix Power Tower , which if u were to look at that or the poweraid they look almost the same but the price sets them apart, but i have the power tower with a Airade cold air intake and it works great on my truck, if you have true dual exhaust and a nice set of headers you will really feel the differnece in performance with a tbi spacer and cai.

I am running the poweraid tb spacer, no cai. If I could do it over I would have just gone with the aem brute force, it is a dry filter and for this truck the kit comes with a tb spacer. The reason that I would use a dry filter over an oiled filter is because I spend a lot of time in the dust and dirt, the dry filter is much easier to clean.

Thanks for all the help and opinions,I think I am going with the BRUTE FORCE Induction System.The system comes with a spacer in the kit for my application and I also like the dry filter idea.The AEM website was also informative and helpful.Thanks again for steering me in this direction horse482

I know this is alittle late , but stay away from any type of filter that you must oil after you clean it. I learned the hard way on that and the oil tends to collect alot of not needed dirt and whatever else you might pickup on the road, which then makes you clean the filter every 5000miles or so. Where i live it's pretty much dirt roads so really im just going to go ahead and clean the filter normaly and bypass the oil , but what i want to know is will this ruin the filter at all if i just wash it out and not oil it ever again?
