PSYCHO car

a'ight. I SO wish I had a picture of this car I came across last night. I'm driving down the local racing strip, just passing through on a friday night with a few friends in the car. We pull on from the highway and pass this old style "Camaro" with the pointed front end and the dude had put the big coolant thing that sticks up a foot above the hood in the middle of the car. LOL >> Yea I used to know the proper name but it got smoked away I'm guessing. Anyways, we end up on the line next to him. He's revving his engine and I'm NOT revving mine. Any other day but today... Even tho I'd most likely lose but it's still fun. I was on my stock tires that night tho and they were incredibly close to the end. I didn't want to do any peel outs or anything even REMOTELY dangerous because there were people in the car and the tires were on the verge of dying a terrible brutal death.
So the light turns green and I SO want to gun it but I don't because I like to keep my friends alive. He, however, floors it. The things runs for shit. He stomped the petal straight off the line and got NO pickup. But eventually he did get far enough up there to see his ass-end. Then we got a good look at the car.
It was a Buick\Oldsmobile thing. The car itself mustave come straight from the 70s and the grandma that owned it before this kid mustave died and he inherited\bought the car. ...So upon closer inspection, it still had the original engine in it, but he took the front of an old camaro from a junkyard and welded it on. and cut a big hole for the coolaint thing... (OK, that's really starting to drive me crazy. What's it called??!?)
-Trying to fulfill his dreams of owning a camaro maybe??

And to think you didn't kill him for me for doing something so retarded.

Next time, send him my way so that I can beat some sense into him.

I really need to learn how to use that vB Code thing. Hey look a help button!

Some people have really f****d up sense of style. Just yesterday I saw an 02 SS convertible with mudflaps!!!!!:apuke: I know those tires pick up a bunch of crap but geeez if your that worried about your paint job, DON'T DRIVE ON GRAVEL!!!!

My guess is given that Buick/oldsmobile is still GM they wouldn't much appreciate your pitch. No wait, they'd love it, engineer it 'till they got it right, then kill it for no apparent reason ... mutter, mutter, mutter ....

People that put mudflaps on F-bodies don't deserve to be driving them in the first place.

You know, I've thought of that too. I think some of the people know their car is shit so they try to hide their embarassment by INTENTIONALLY making it worse. There's some dude around here with the RAUNCHIEST truck. He painted it faggot hippie colors then went out and bought a while bunch of goofy plastic toddler toys and glued them to the truck. :apuke: :apoke:

Some people try too hard because they desperately want to be "what they saw in that kewl movie fast and furious!"
Some people want to but they can't afford a good car so they just try to mod what they've got.
These people remind me of the 4 year old little brother that tugs on your coat and says "I WANNA PLAY TOO!"

People just don't see it from everyone elses point of view. To them their car looks cool, I'm sure. "You never know just how you look, through other peoples eyes"
