Revell Audi R10 test shots

Found this in GPMA.

Looks pretty good so far, this is apparently a first-round test shot of the diesel-powered LeMans winner.

Translated by Google from German to English: With the AUDI R10 V12 TDI Le-Mans presents Revell on a scale 1:24 the winner vehicle which to history wrote. For the first time a Diesel this legendary long-distance running triumphed. The so-called “roofridge Shots” look already very good, so that from the standard model very much is to be expected.

Thanks for sharing!

I ve seen the proto model on IMPS deutschland , it's looking so good, it seems to be having a lot of unexpected detail (is that an engine I spot?)

Also, have you seen the built pics of the revell R8 ? it's also on the revell site IRC...

THanks for sharing!

It does look like an engine, the parts count is over 100, and yes I have seen the pic of the R8 on Revell's site. I saw the real 1:1 R8 on Monday and it's incredible; I didn't expect to like it so much but it's stunning in person

Re: Revell Audi R10 test shots

As soon as this is released I'm going to buy it. I cannot wait for it. I really hope those louvers are opened up, I dont want to have to cut them out and replace them with brass louvers. I see a lot of parts, but I dont see a lot of detail on the parts. The brakes look pretty bad, I think my C5R brakes look better.

Same here, it's a cool car and too historically significant not to build. I'm sure the aftermarket is going to go nuts with this model. P/E details, white metal parts , c/f decals, the pungent aroma of low-sulfur diesel fuel for pit dioramas

Excellent, can't wait for it either. Didn't they say they were releasing an R8 as well?

And more importantly, it's Revell AG so it won't cost 80 friggin dollars or something...

Re: Revell Audi R10 test shots

Wow it's full detail: would be my first diesel in scale

BTW now I'm a bit confused about the R10 Scale Motorsport release seen at Nurburg... worth it hisp price compared with the cheap Revell stuff (that alsoseem better than any other Revell former kit..)

The R8 Road car...not the LM.

I forgot what the expected due date for the R10 is, anybody remember?

Sweet, so we know where to go to for reference shots, eh?

Let's just hope they are going to go beserk on the paintscheme in real life!

I saw the R8 last week, I took several shots of the car. If you need some reference, hopefully some of my shots will help.

Cool, I left my camera in the car, after the weekend concours d'elegance in FL I was ready to be camera-free for the new car show on the return trip. I take it you got pics of the R8 on the stand at the show, or is there another one around?

Yeah, I got pics of the one on the stand. Then I took about 60 shots of the Acura LMP...mmm.

Re: Revell Audi R10 test shots

Just spent the weekend in Sebring, Florida with some friends for the 12 Hours of Sebring and saw the R10's run, saw one right after a practice crash as they brought it into their tent on a flatbed truck but as soon as it was on the ground they dropped the curtain and hid the car from sight. The next morning it was an all new car again.

We were lucky enough to sit right above their pit boxes and were able to see them at every pit stop and as all the repairs and driver changes occured... very awesome time!!! I can't wait to build one of these models.

Also seen two of the new R8 road cars, one on display and one driving around the track on some pace laps. It's a pretty awesome car that I'm looking forward to building.
