2003 Windstar Radio Reception

My radio get really bad reception, especially in AM mode. It picks up lots of static from the AC, etc. I found out the radio antenna is in the rear window - is this part of the problem?

Re: 2003 Windstar Radio Reception

I suspect that you may have a grounding/shielding issue. My '99's stock radio recieves AM quite well.

I do have a big issue with the rear speakers that are mounted in the sliding doors. (How dumb!!!). The door-jamb contacts are not very good (no matter how clean and lubricated) and can drive rear passengers beserk with "static" ... that you cannot hear up-front.
