97 Cav questions*noob*

So now that my cavalier is my daily driver, i have some questions.

1. Where can i get a cheap bracket to hold in a JVC KD-G210 stereo i got from my friend for $35
2. How easy is it to find a cheap timing belt/ install it. Mine makes an annoying noise. I will record it soon in the next week probably. Maybe it isnt the timing belt, we can't tell for sure.

heres a pic. Took it tonight, so its dark.

Serpentine Belt or Timing Chain??

Could be the Serp. Belt tensioner... anyways you need a 3/8th drive wratchet and a long breaker bar to loosen the tensioner to take the belt off. It just makes life easier that way. As for the head unit. Your local auto parts store.

Serpentine Belt is what you need. Less than $35. Car looks nice!

Re: 97 Cav questions*noob*

ok well. sometime in the next week. I'm having new shocks installed (the backs were blown it was not the shockmount itself. The shocks were just horrible). Plus that belt.

btw friday night i beat my friend who has an 03 Galant ES. He's an idiot when it comes to cars and thought i had a 6 in it. We did a drag 3 times, he had the start off but i always caught up with him . Everythings stock still.
