zc black top help

theres a place near my place
where i could get a ZC DOHC G1 black top .. comes with transmition, distributor, Complete Intake Manifold, A/C Power Steering Pump, Alternator and All the Brackets and Sensors. i wanna drop it into my carbed 85 crx hf. any tips on how this could be done?

i think the blacktop is the 88-89? if so it will bolt in but again you will need the wiring harness since none of the carb harness is any good

yes, this motor will bolt in, even bolt up to your transmission, iirc, but you'll either need to change the harness, or convert your D16A1 to carb... side draft carb can be used, custom mounting plate where the TB should be on the intake... you'd also need to fit a vacuum advance dizzy to the head.

If you're interested in just swapping, you'll need to change the wiring harness, preferably to the one that came out of the car that the motor came from... assuming a teg.

BTW, 118HP for the black top or 108 for the brown... diff in compression ratio.
