1974 1/2 mgb
he every one, i just purchased a mgb roadster and the enigine is on its last leg. I was curious if there was any other motor (b series perhaps?) or a place that sells restored or after market parts.
i plan on getting a new block and working on it from there but do you guys think it would be easier to work on the older one? thx for your help |

Re: 1974 1/2 mgb
I think it's best to rebuild the engine you have unless it has a bad block or crankshaft. Used blocks are easy to find but they are heavy and will have to be trucked. I don't think new blocks are available. Most blocks are usable. Get a Moss catalog for reference on where parts are located. See this link, for the phone number.
http://www.mossmotors.com/Browse/Com...&PlateTypeID=1 If you don't have a repair manual get a Haynes MGB manual or better yet get a Bentley repair manual. Moss and many other places will have the manuals. The book section of Walmart on line should have the books in stock at reduced ptices. Clifton |
