2002 sebring lx noise from back

I just bought a sebring yestarday, today we just hit about one hundred miles on it then I noticed a noise coming from what sounded like the right rear tire. Almost sounds like something is knocking, goes away if the steering wheel is turned left to right going down the road but comes back right away. Also when I turned the corner from one highway to the next it stopped for about two miles. Anyone have any ideas or should I take it back.

Rear strut mounts are rotting out on those cars, Flaw in the convertible drain. Water builds up on the top mount and rots them out
