97 Rodeo 4x4 light will not turn off - stalling

My 4x4 light will not turn off. This is causing my truck to not stall. Its done this a couple of times, but i just turn the truck off, and it seems to be okay when i restart the truck. But now its on again, and i cannot get it to turn off. Any ideas as to what it could be????

Re: 97 Rodeo 4x4 light will not turn off - stalling

this happened to me once, well at least the light part of it, i dont really understand the whole stalling part, i dont know if its the same situation or not but try it, (if you havn't allready)...

Keep your car in park, shift into 4-wheel high, start the car, shift into drive, drive straight for 300 feet or so, (best done on a long empty straight road). brake and come to a stop, shift into neutral, shift out of 4-wheel hi into 2-wheel high, shift into drive, drive another 300 feet or so, and the light should shut off.

Idk, just try it, if it works then good, if it doesnt then well you wasted 600ft worth of gas, haha. good luck,

by the way i also have a 97 4x4 rodeo
