Re: Make ac blow colder air.

If the system is functioning correctly and properly charged the temp, exiting the ducts, should be around 38 degrees more or less. Not sure if you need it any cooler then that....

Re: Make ac blow colder air.

Check the basics first...

Is your Condenser (the radiator looking thing in front of the radiator) clogged up with dirt and leaves, if it is spray it out from the back side with a hose until it is clean.

Is the Condenser fan coming on?

Do you have anything up under the dash (clothes, trash, etc.) that is blocking the return air from inside the car from getting sucked into the duct work system? Remove whatever is blocking it if you do.

Do you have the fresh air vents open? Close them, for A/C to work right you should have the setting set to recirculate the air and not have fresh air coming into the car. All of your windows should close tightly and not have any air leaks.

Somewhere under the hood there should be a sight glass on one of the freon lines, if you see a lot of bubbles there is an air leak somewhere, freon is leaking out and air is being pulled in. This = warmer air coming out of the vents. This also = taking it in to get it serviced.

Check your compressor belt (if it uses its own belt), is is loose?

It could also be that your compressor is dying but at only three years old it should still be fine.

Also, check your cabin filter also. Its located under the passenger side wiper. You'll have to remove the plastic trim under the wiper to get to it. Just my ...
