Strut bearing banging, again!
I replaced the front struts and bearings about 20,000 miles ago on my wife's 2000 Venture. The strut bearing on the driver's side was banging every time it made a turn at a slow speed and it had about 70,000 miles on it. Now the banging has returned! Is it possible to "oil" this thing to get it to stop? I don't want to have to keep replacing and realigning every year.

Re: Strut bearing banging, again!
Hey, our 2002 Venture had a driver side noise that sounded like someone was banging a big gong whenever the steering wheel was turned. Looking at the driver's front strut upper mount it looked like the rubber was all wound up, to make a long story short - the top of the spring had broken off (about 1 inch). Had to replace the spring, the upper mount, and the upper bearing. So far it's been fine, that was about 6 months ago.
