95 astro blower fuse blows

Hi, I have a 95 Astro that started blowing the fuse to the blower motor. I replaced the resistor pack and the blower works fine with heater or vent but when ac is turned on the fuse blows. Any suggestions on where I should begin?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 95 astro blower fuse blows

There is a short in the A/C clutch circuit. A fairly common problem, and the first thing you can try, is disconnect the compressor clutch field wire at the top front of the compressor. You can access the connector by opening the hood, nothing needs to be removed. Just unplug the two terminal connector. If the fuse no longer blows, the field will need replacement. Post back your results.
