2004, 3.5L on start-up
My 2004 which I just got, starts OK, but seems to race for a 10-15 seconds on start-up (cold, Cincinnati area garage temp; haven't had it long enough to see if warm start is different.) Truck only has 30K on it.

Re: 2004, 3.5L on start-up
If it races up to 2-3k rpm's for 2-3 seconds, then drops to 1,500 rpm's for several more seconds on a COLD start - probably normal.
Should've heard mine on a -14F morning here not too long ago; I always joke how you can hear an Isuzu howlin' on a cold morning 5 miles away! Seriously, when I start my Rodeo on a very cold morning, it howls louder then my diesel rig at first - has since the day I bought it; 10yrs later still runs the same, if not better.
