motor swap?

i have much interest in putting a buick grand national motor in a 1987 or so fiero, and wanted to know how much work is involed. i figure the 87 gn motor is a great powerplant, and put in a light rwr rmm car it should be a monster.any ideas?

There are lots of potential engine swaps for a Fiero, but it is not like the old days when you just hooked up an engine to a drive shaft and gas pedal. Computer controls are now in place. Lots of wiring.

www.v8archie.com puts in V8s into Fieros and has been doing it for 18 years.

www.gmtuners.com does swaps with 3800 SC engines.

With most engine swappers, you'll want in addition to the engine, but better suspension, better brakes are also needed. If you have the skill sets, tools, a place to do the work and a deep pocket you can get it done in a few months.
