Chey 2000 silverado

Hello fellow forum readers I just ran into a problem just had my rear tire patched & now im hearing some kind of air leak by the gas tank never heard this before but I can hear a hissing like air leaking is something going out I have half a tank of gas just I thought I had another air leak in my tire again right next to my drivers side rear tire any ideas would be greatfull thanks richram

Have you checked the tire to make sure there is no leak?

maybe the fuel pump whine and just never noticed it before?

Yea, I'm thinking fuel pump too. Go stand beside the gas tank and have somebody turn the key on and off a few times without cranking the truck. See if you hear the same noise.

Remove gas cap and see if you can still hear it.
If not.
Give that gas cap 3 clicks.
