93 4.0 awd lifters

Replacing the heads on my 93 aerostar 4.0 awd 140,000 miles.
Going to replace lifters while heads are off. Have new lifters available, but have just found remanufactered lifters
for about a 1/4th of new ones.
Can anyone give me any information about "remanufactered lifters" as compared to new ones?
Are they good or a waste of money?
