Is this NORMAL?
I have a completly stock 91 tsi fwd. When i open my passenger window to hear the turbo, it sounds weird. It sounds like a fan coming on then off only without that pssssh!! or somting like it on normal driving. This is bugging me because this is my first turbo car and i don't know if it is suppose to sound like that.

Check the turbo shaft play.
