liftgate adjustment????
Is there a way to adjust a liftgate hinge on a 92 cherokee? It seems like the liftgate is moving when I hit a bump, causing a rattle that is quite annoying.

Re: liftgate adjustment????
I believe there are two stops part way down to keep the liftgate tight.
Note: Jeep Cherokees are not made with a tight fit. It is an off-road vehicle; not much of a luxury rig...sorry, had to throw that in. Mine thumps back there also...but only on rough roads and off-highway use. |

Re: liftgate adjustment????
Thanks for the info, I will check the stops you mentioned. I Know what your saying about it not being a luxury rig, but this is border line torture. I may also replace the weather-strip. for the liftgate. I'm sure after 15 years it could be kind of worn out allowing some slop.

Re: liftgate adjustment????
I think I figured it out
. One of my liftgate supports was bad, replaced that and the problem went away. I never said I was the sharpest tool in the shed! Thanks for the help.
