My wife's friend is coming over this Sunday so I can replace the brakes on a CR-V. Is there any thing I need to know about them. i.e. special tools required, things to watch out for, additional items to replace since I'm in there. Any info or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks ByronP

Re: CR-V Brake Question
Sorry for being so late.
An impact driver is needed to remove the screws holding the rotor on You should clean all the rust off the hub before install a new rotor. Make sure to lube everything, back of pads, slide pins, & retainers. When I do brakes at the shop I will remove retainers and clean out any rust with a cut-off wheel. Tool list: 19mm socket to remove lug nuts 12mm, 14mm, 17mm wrench and/or sockets for removing caliper and/or caliper bracket Impact driver for rotor screws |
