Tamiya Ferrari FXX: 60 Anniversary Build

Here is my version of Tamiya's Ferrari FXX, there isnt much to show and the pictures are horrible, little light atm. I have painted the monococque with Tamiya black and the other part with Almuninium. I have given the front hood and rear cowl paint, they were primed and painted with tamiya Italian Red, not cleared or polished, little orange peel....

Have done some work on the engine but it is in early stages yet, have done some wiring to one side, also i have ordered the Tamiya detail set and hopefully get some mikemechanic machined parts.

Here is what i have so far.

Front lip isn't full painted yet...

Rear cowl on mono...

Shows front hood...

Bottom tub painted and foot matt matt black.

Early Engine Stages...

Mockup's

Thankyou for looking! not alot to comment as yet, more to come!

O_O! That is awesome! So if it was done with a paint can, then you tamed the awesome technique of "Good Can Painting"...
Oops,with Ab'ed,i meant airbrushed...

Re: Tamiya Ferrari FXX: 60 Anniversary Build

I have done some more progress but i cant seem to take a good shot of it, this is what i did!

This is what i aimed for, these pictures are hard to see, it was hard to take one without to much glare!

I added the wires and that little thing under it,

Again very hard to see!

I will actually trim up the part for the dash again and try and open it up more like the picture!

Re: Tamiya Ferrari FXX: 60 Anniversary Build

Got most of the front mocked up, now I need to carbon fibre the monocoque and chassis so I can glue the suspension into place. Which C/F decals should I get?? I think that the SMS are good, but is it black pewter, twirl or what??

The Engine bay just needs some more detailing, like wires etc. But im slowly getting there.

Here are some pics.

Front

Engine.

Air duct/dam things.

Thankyou for looking.
