fuel problems
Please help.....I blew out two tires hitting some debri on interstate and was also extremely low on gas at the time as well. Anyway, after towing it home...it wouldn't start....turns over fine and also runs as you slowly feed starter fluid through the air intake..but fuel isn't getting to engine. I put a couple more gallons of gas in it thinking that might be the problem...after the sudden jolt of hitting the debri...could it have messed up something. There is no damage to vehicle itself including under carriage....I just can't imagine my luck of blowing two tires and at the exact same time my fuel pump goes out. I checked fuses and all appear well....what can it be? Any help would be deeply appreciated! BTW is there a reset for the fuel pump...my neighbor swears up and down there is? Thanks so much!!

Re: fuel problems
well the obvious thing would be the wiring to the fuel pump. between the debris and the possible tire pieces, it would be very possible that a wire got busted or a connection disconnected. crawl under there with your trusty maglite and have a look, reach and follow the wires to and from the top of the gas tank. if you find a connector off, you have found the 'reset'
now, what kind of debris blows out two tires. yikes. that doesn't sound like any fun.... //bc

Re: fuel problems
maybe the fuel filter is plugged up due to low gas?
or the explosion triggered the roll over protector switch to turn off the gas flow (I don't know if this even exists on your truck).

Re: fuel problems
search the forum here since that question was recently asked (about the button or fuse).
