1995 351w bronco high idle

the bronco is idling around 1500 and reving by itself up to 2 grand. the bronco wouldn't start so we sprayed starting fluid in it other than that nothing was done to the bronco. the bronco had been sitting for a year prior to up to about month or so ago.

Re: 1995 351w bronco high idle

I have the same problem. Out of the blue, it starts normally, then takes off to 1500 rpm for 65 seconds.

Is the mass airflow motor the same as the mass airflow sensor? Mine is a daily driver, so it never sits long.
