Re: turbo???

you can put a turbo on almost any motor. the idea is to match the turbo to the motor's characteristics. do a search and basics of turbocharging. you have a lot to learn.

peicing it together is probably a better idea.

Re: turbo???

Have you looked into the GM Supercharger? If i had an ecotec motor, thats the route i would be taking myself.

Only if your wallet was bigger then your brain. Granted and dont get me wrong....its safe...ladeefreekinda. One of our guys has that thing hooked up to the eco and we have done every tweek in the book and the best we can push out of the crap bag is mid low 14s to high 13s.

If Im going to spend that kind of money then Im tossing safe out the damn window. Instead Im going to go with a turbo setup and do it right so it adds a little bit of safety to the equation.

Also, yes, yes hahn does make one for the auto. You just have to contact them directly. I was going to have one made up about a year back durring the beginning production phase but then remembered I dont yet want to get that thick into this turd.

Re: turbo???

$2,800 for the GM supercharger. Get a smaller pully and up the boost. 2.7" and your getting around 10-11psi.

High 13's is pretty damn good. In order to get lower than that even with a turbo, you have to up the boost and with that you risk blowing things up. You need fuel upgrades, timing retard, Tuning software to do it all, The ecotec's are showing weak signs with their ringlands and those blowning to hell.

$2,800 bucks, you get everything you need -- > $70 tech fee for the computer reflash and your car will be running like a champ. They have come down in price over the past 2 years.

Now since i don't have an ecotec... I am with you, Turbo and lots of boooost!
