h23 head on a f22 block

I just put a h23 head on my f22 block and when I put the h23 distributor on and went to wire it up the f22 had a internal coil and the h23 had a external coil. my problem is that I can't find the trigger wire for the msd sci box that I put on. the wire I thought it was must not be right because when I crank it over it is not getting any spark. if any body knows what could be my problem please let me know.
