GTP vs. T/A

It'd been a while since i had some decent races, but recently i guess im just getting lucky.

I was leaving the ymca and a white trans am flies by... looks like an LT1 so i decide to play chase. Catch up to him a few miles down the road and get next to him... i just coast for a couple and then i hit it... no contest because i obviously had a good jump. Few more miles and we hit a light. i know he wants some revenge. Im actually lined up behind him (there's a cts next to him) light goes green he takes off, i follow. I had started about 1 car length off his back bumper. I quickly change lanes and pull all the way up to him and then put a car on him up to about 110, then tables turned, damned v8. Either way, he lost the drag pretty good.

Verdict: always feels good to beat a v8, even if it is just an LT1.

Re: GTP vs. T/A

Some good ol' fun... Nice to see people still getting some race stories up on these boards...

P.S: There's a double post of your thread...

Nice kill, though

Re: GTP vs. T/A

Nice race. Have you ever taken that thing to the track. With that kind of kill you should be hitting 13's.

Re: GTP vs. T/A

Good kill. LT1's are not the quickest stock, but they can be modded pretty dang easy with some decent heads/cam.

Re: GTP vs. T/A

A buddy from another board has a similar setup to yours. He ran a 14.1 sec. 1/4 mile at 101mph. It should run 13's, but it's all in the 60'. Cams really wake those cars up. I'd highly advise you to look into getting a more aggressive cam.
