help 94 325is turns over but no start

help I have a 94 bmw 325is that my daughter took to the drive thru car wash and shut the car off but left the key on so she could listen to the radio. when she went to start the car it would not start, it would only turn over (just fine). I sprayed some starting fulid in the air cleaner but got no response so i dont think it is a fuel problem as when the fuel pump went out it would still fire when i did that. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your not getting any power to the sparkplugs.

Did this only happen after she went through the car wash?

There may be a blown fuse. I'd check them first.

it has been four days and the car started today but wont remain running unless you keep pressure on the throttle. it also has a knock in the intake manifold. any help now?
