Finished: K20 Honda Fit 56K, might be a minute

Greetings!

Here's the world's first Honda Fit with the Acura RSX K20 engine installed in 1/24 scale. I've made some minor changes to the body as well as full engine detail.

85% of the parts came from the Revell 3in1 Acura RSX kit.
Engine and engine bay, modified front bumper, scratch built rear bumper, RSX side steps, RSX sport seats, modified Fujimi EP3 Civic rear wing, DTM type exhaust, and wheels courtesy of Tonioseven (years ago).

Paint is Model Master Silver-Blue metallic from the can, and tamiya TS yellow on the valve cover.

I've also taken photos along side my Spoon Sports Fit to show the amount of work that went into this little Honda.

Fun build!

You gotta love how I made that engine...fit!

You've done a great job fit-ting the engine in there. I like the idea...can you say "sleeper".

BTW...nice paint, too.

Wow, the engine fits it perfect. Looks as if the car came with engine detail. Great work, do you have a wip thread?

Great job, first model fit I've seen K-powered and well executed to boot (as are all your models). You gotts be teased a little w/ the idea to now put a K20 in your spoon fit just like the real thing!! though it can suck sometimes going back into an already finished build to tear it down and add to it.

Thanks for the speedy replies.

I did have a WIP but I only posted a couple photos.

Oh, and the spoon fit will remain untouched. If I buy another Fit, you can rest assured it will be K20ed.

NIIIIICE (in voice of borat), I figured the spoon fit would "stay" finished, it looks to good to tear down again. you can never have too many K-powered cars though

Genius!!! Looks factory stock. Is there an 1/24 RSX engine bay that looks better?

Great finish! I love how well it all looks together. You did an amazing job. The engine doesn't even look undersized. The body work is excellent too. Of course, Mugen wheels are always a bonus and the yellow valve cover is, well, just as it should be. Fantastic!

As I understood it, Spoon didn't swap the motor. The Spoon Fit was made for enduro, and though it was the slowest car on the track it was made to show reliability Honda/Spoon can execute. Am I mistaken?

Correct!

The RSX is 1/25 the Fit is 1/24. With the Fit being such a small car, the 1/25 parts were perfect for the honda. Well, not the bumper. That took alittle bit of re-working to get it right.

Thanks for the feedback.

VERY nice! That is one great looking build. I'm starting to like these fits, especially now that they've been brought over here, and I've seen them in person.

Me too. But, I couldn't justify going from a GS-R integra to a slow but cool looking Fit.

I guess I'll have to build more Fits to get over my lust for a real one.
