Question 1995 CD Changer

Hi all. As you can see I'm new to this forum and I'm sure this subject has come up before. I'm wondering if anyone out there has a good contact for someone with knowledge about the CD changer in my '95 740i. When I got the car, it had the changer but no magazine. I was told that the changer was a Pioneer CDXM30 so I purchased a magazine for that unit. It seems to fit correctly, however when I insert the magazine it cycles through all six slots and then the display on the radio reads "NO DISC." I'm wondering if the magazine is not the right one or if there is a problem with my changer. My local BMW dealer hasn't a clue and referred me to a local car audio shop which had even less of a clue (if that's possible). Since (I believe) the CD changer is a special version of the Pioneer unit, I'm reluctant to take it to any of my local car audio shops. Any help on this subject would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Try Stereorepair.com. I sent a '94 CD-Changer off to them that was DEAD and it came back good as new in 3 days. They have a guy - Zach - who knows all about what is going on with these BMW changers - Pioneer/Alpine/Whatever.

Re: NEED HELP with my 94 740i cd changer (Post #2)
My changer from my 94 740iL never left a disk in it when I ejected the mag all the cd's that went in came out. I got rid of the car still have the changer but never used it since. Would sell it for the right price. If you want to go that way it only takes less then five minets to change it. I have the 6 cd changer, mag & bracket. If you want e-mail me with offer(+ shipping?).

Be sure to put the discs in upside-down.
