swishing noise

My fiance has an equinox. You can hear a swishing noise, like water rushing through a tube, upon slow acceleration. It's cpmming from the f ront end. Any ideas of what it could be? I'm thinking there might be something wrong with the heater core. The heat will sometimes get cold than go back to being warm.

Re: swishing noise

Yep, that sounds like air in the cooling system. Check the coolant, I bet it's low. Hopefully there's not a leak somewhere..
