There is a minimum thickness stamped on all rotors, go under this and they must be replaced.

Generally once these days, Maxwedge is right about the minimum...No one can tell you how long they will last because of so many factors such as type of pads, braking habits etc. 50k is probably a good ball park figure. Use the highest quality of pad you can afford on the front and standard on the back. Be sure to clean caliper slide pins well and use a good silicone brake grease on them so they will release freely. Wire brush caliper mounting surfaces well. By the way if you replace the pads before they wear to the rivets you won't have to turn them again lest they warp from hard or excessive braking.

i got an 04 and they don't warp from hard or excessive braking. I have over 50% left on the pads, and i have 33,000 miles, I have had them turned once and they need it again.

Re: Resurfaced original rotors, how many times can they be cut

Over-torquing the lugs will distort the weak factory rotors. Overheating the rotors and then leaving the brakes clamped down for a short period of time will bond deposits into the rotor surface and cause vibration felt through the brake pedal. Vatozone sells two rotors. One is Chinese for about 22$ and the other is name brand like Wagner (I think) for 42$, either is fine. I would not bother turning the old ones, just install new ones. Not much difference in $ and way faster then waiting to get the old one cut.
