Porsche 917k 1970 - info/references
Guys,
So far I have managed to pick up the John Allen 'Super Profile' book and the Motorsport in Detail CD for my next project the '70 Gulf Porsche 917, however both unfortunately are not exactly a 'Perfect Manual' and still leave me with alot of unanswered questions. Can anyone point me in the right direction of any good web links or book references, I am trying to get my hands on two books in particular 1. Porsche 917 - The Ultimate Weapon by Ian Bamsey and 2. The Fabulous Porsche 917 by Peter Hinsdale are these books as good as Im lead to believe? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as always

Porsche 917 - the Winning Formula is one book I have. Not a great deal of detail photos but covers the entire history of the 917 very well.

just wanted to say a HUGE HUGE thankyou to Robi J for emailing me some stunning pictures, the helpfulness of the guys here on AF never ceases to amaze me - I dont think Im gonna have to invest in any further books now(although Im still tempted - nothing quite like having a good book reference book say on the shelf!)
