Camaro for first car

Hi do you guys think car insurance would be reasonable for a 17yr old kid with a 1985 Camaro? I would be on my parents insurance plan. Also, are these cars high maintenance? I cant be repairing things every month or so, as my budget is fairly tight.

Thanks.

Re: Camaro for first car

It actually was cheaper to insure the 85' camaro, then a 93 civic on progressive......

Re: Camaro for first car

As far as the maintenance...it's a 22 year old car, things WILL be going wrong with it.

Re: Camaro for first car

At least it's old so working on it shouldn't be too hard.

Re: Camaro for first car

Don't thinking to much.

You must have some maintenance skill to drive this car.
should do some maintenance by yourself.

This car is 22 yesrs old, it need a closer look after.

Everything could be happen with +10 years car.
