Total exhaust replacement

1993 Cherokee Country, 4.0, 190K miles. I finally broke down and bought an exhaust maniford, dynomax cat w/catback system. I figure the cat and catback will just require a couple of good whacks with a large sledgehammer, but I'm wondering about the exhaust manifold. I have a haynes manual that's pretty self-explanitory. My question is for those who have done this. When you remove the fuel lines from the rail, what is the replacement (quick-connect fitting) part number you used? Also did you replace your hardware for the manifold (bolts and such)? If you did, did you get them in a kit from somewhere? I'm overseas so I have to order everything online. Thanks in advance.

Re: Total exhaust replacement

OK... So I finally had a chance to work on my exhaust. The system is an easy bolt-on type. Yesterday I put my 30" breaker bar to work and broke loose all of the clamps from the front pipe to cat to muffler to exhaust pipe. Some of the clamps literally "broke". At least I didn't have to unthread the nuts from the rusted over U-bolts. Today in the shop, I figured it would be easy to wiggle a bit here and sledge hammer a bit there. WRONG! The muffler pipe to cat pipe are a good 6-8" overlap. After much wiggling and much banging from my trusty 3lb sledge, it went as far as the axle. Luckly someone was using an acetylene torch. It made quick work of all of the muffler/cat pipes although the undercoating started to smoke. All that was left was the bolt-on action. True to their word, the Dynomax system was a breeze. Everything went on with minimal effort and it sounds great. Along with the new plugs/cap/rotor, my Jeep is sounding stronger than ever. I still haven't tackled the exhaust manifold yet. After 6 hours of working today on the rear brakes, miscellaneous dust boots, and exhaust @ $5/hr for the stall/lift, i'll leave that for another day.

Re: Total exhaust replacement

I just got off the line with the jeep dealer and they wanted alot for the quick disconnects fuel line hose repair clips. Has anyone found a cheaper source for these? No luck online at Autozone, napa, pepboys, advanced auto.
