Is it just me or do people not resect the Spec??? Everyone i run into like the way the car looks and all but they don't respect it on a performance level. Where i live there are nothing but Hondas and the only people i get repect from are people who have already felt my wrath. Two examples from the past weekend a guy who drives a stock integra gsr said that he would destroy me and nothing can beat vtec, and i was like hey d*ickhead have you ever heard of CVTC of course he had'nt, and another jackass with a crx with a b16 with i/e said i could'nt beat him if i sprayed on him.WHOA. So this weekend we are going to the track to settle this once and for all, and little by little if can't earn repsect from other drivers i'll take it.

i was wondering if i was the only one to notice that. it seems everytime me and my friend ride out in our cars. people always drool over his 2002 si, but nobody says anything about my car, at least nothing good. when the spec is faster then most hondas out there. it kinda sux that for some gay reason we're underdawgs. when in all actuallity we're the top dogs. oh well, people will learn as we woop there asses on the street.

Here in So Cali, there's a lot of people that respect our specs,

all you have to do is earn their respect and stuff like that....try racing a few cars in front of a big ass crowd, that's how you gotta do it

Unfortuanately guys I don't drive the beatiful SpecV, but I do have major respect for it. I think it's the most beautiful nissan compact ever made. I would bet money on it against the honda stuff and if it loses, then I'll double the pot and race them in my car. I don't hate hondas, but the hype on them is all wrong. They are short-winded meaning they cannot run sustained speeds on the highway. All that VTEC crap and being able to rev, hell the nissan CA series with DOHC's have seeing high rpm long before Vtec. And if the S2000 is the best they can come up with, then my 1.8l nissan sentra ($3500) has put that $30,something thousand dollar car to shame and with much authority. I always say, "Choose your weapons wisely"

I TOTALLY AGREE with pinyoot4you. Matter of fact the first time my SpecV made it's racing debute was in front of a large crowd. I ran a GSR 3 times, spanked his ass and left red marks on it.
Then the first time I ran an RSX TypeS was in front of the same huge crowd. But I deffiantely understand about what your saying when you feel like nobody respects it. Because I remember when I first raced one of my friends SI and beat by like 2 cars this one guy came up to me and said "Damion, what's the specs on these things" and I told him, then he was said " Damn I didn't know that they were that quick."

Then I told my boy if I go to the track I should run like a 15.0, 15.3. He was like NAWW. I was like why you saying NAWW? Just shit like that, but now that I have had for awhile and can hang with or beat all the modded SI's, GSR'S, hang with my friends WRX on the highway( WHICH I'M GOING TO FILM NEXT TIME BECAUSE PEOPLE STILL DON'T BELIEVE ME)people are starting to see my cars potential. So trust me the more that you run people whether you win or lose and show them what your car can infact do, they will see and respect it.

i got the most respect when i lost to that one GSR....
i had an intake and he had, i/h/e cam gears (forgot to mention about the cam gears in other threads), and a mugen chip and i lost about a bumper.... all of his friends told me that my car is pretty quick and said that suyoung (their friend) spent a couple of thousand dollars in mods and all i spent is about $220 just to beat me by a bumper. I will assume your car is pretty damn modded to beat an S2000.

And what does price have to do with it? "oh my 3500 dollar car put a 30 thousand dollar car to shame". Right, that means your car is so much better. And for 3500 you can get a modified DSM or an old 5.0 and modify that and it will run circles around your Nissan. Just cuz your car beat a more expensive car doesn't mean your car is better. And if you want to talk mod for mod, throw the turbo kit on the S2k at 8psi and it runs 12.1 in the 1/4 mile.

Hey troll dont hate cause your king the S2000 was dethroned by a lil ole sentra. I know its hard waking up from dreamland where Hondas can kick everyother cars ass, but this is the real world where VTEC is'nt all the special anymore. I mean sure it was cool in 92 when they brought it to America in the Prelude, but Honda relaxed because they thought their reign would last forever and thats why every new car puts things like civic si' which is a joke in itself to sleep. How could Honda actually think they could produce the same underpowered engine in the 2002 si put in an I in front of the VTEC so import fans would buy it and make it look like a Focus so american fans would buy it and think that would be ok. You just need to realize you jumped on the wrong bandwagon and deal with it.

talking about putting a turbo on an s2000 is irrelivent. b/c the s2000 is a 35, 000 car. while as hell raiser payed 3000 for his. and is wooping it. so there is no comparison. but nice try anyway.

for 30g's you are also paying for luxury stuff like leather, newer looking interior, rims, convertable top,....and most importantly, the name. I have respect for hell rasier's car, but unfortaunely it will lose to a s2000 in a twisty road course. I am not trying to put anybody down, just wanna stop the arguement. I myself is not a big vtech fan, but it was amazing technology and it still is. even though we have much love for "our" brand of cars, we gotta give credit to other manufacturers too. Hell-rasier is not putting down honda, which he did mention in his post that he is not a honda hater. He just wants to let people know that our cars can do what hondas can do too, sometimes better. accept the fact that a sentra can beat a s200 in a straight line race, and enjoy the other stuff that your car provides you that the sentra doesn't have.

Hey Troll, I'm not even into the flaming crap, so don't do it. That S2000 is a nice piece of machinery, and it's the only honda I would care to get behind the wheel of. And that S2000 has the technology of a major, big money company and you're sweating my $3500 piece of machinery. And who told you that my car can't twist and turn? I never told you or anyone that all the money was thrown at the driveline, now did I. Honda claims 240hp from the S2000 and my friend had confidence in his car and that it would spank my "girlfriend's sentra" (that is correct):licker: And since he already beat another friend's 95 200sx with an SR20DET, he figured he'll finish the job by beating my girl's less than modern sentra. The engine in our car is 14years old and you're talking about Vtec and technology? Bro' don't hate the playa' hate the game and if what you saw made you that envious, get out of the game. I would almost hate to share with you just how fast her car really is on the top end or that there's another sentra that would run that one in the ground and it's mine:smoka: And trust me, I've earned my respect in my neck of the woods as a competent engine builder and the owner of two 4cylinder FWD cars that visit speeds of over 160mph easily. In this game my friend, you wanna go fast you spend the money on what you think will help you achieve your goal. Pound for pound, nissan engines are superior in strength and durability (Point blank). To the guys in this forum that wrench or spend their money creatively when it comes to their cars, I have mad respect for you. To the guys trying to skate up hill of the likes of a Stephen Papadakis or any of the big boys that grace the popular import magazines, get off on your own. Once again, I don't hate Honda Motor Corporation, just don't understand some of the people that purchase their product. I mean they act like zombies when they get a VTEC swap or when their Vtec crap engages. hey hell raiser I didn't say your car cant twist or turn, I'm just saying that it PROBABLY won't out handle a s200 even with couple g's of suspension mods. Just my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong.
