2000 Ford Explorer help

Pease help. I have a 2000 Ford Explorer I got used and it didn't come with the code for the keyless entry on the door. I looked in the book and it said in glove box or on the computer module. it is in neither place. what or how can I find this.

Re: 2000 Ford Explorer help

Welcome to the forum!

This topic has been addressed NUMEROUS times on this forum. Please use the "Search this forum" radio button from the Explorer forum main page and enter the keyword "code" or "keyless." You should find what you are looking for there.

Hint: The computer module the manual is referring to is not the engine computer, but rather the keyless entry computer module.

The "Search this Forum" link can be found from the page that you accessed this thread from. Click the back button once to get to the "Explorer/Explorer Sport Trac" menu. Then, in stead of clicking on a link to one of the threads, scroll to the top of the listing of threads, then glance over to the right of the window and you should see a link that reads, "Search this Forum." Click on that link, then type the keywords "keyless code." A new window will inform you that your search is in progress, and you should get 45 hits, most of which will have the information you are looking for.

The following are a few of the hits you would get with such a search that may be of use to you.
