Exclamation odd issue

1994 ford escort 1.9l 5 speed hi this is a brief story of my issue

it started out that the car would miss at little to no load but got worse a little at a time then it got to the point it was undriveable. after a lot of diging found that the conecter for the crank senser had broken locking tabs and bare wires fixed that excpt a silver wire that runs in the harness but have no idea where that one go's to. now when ever you hit a good size bump the tac drops to 0 and the car loses power mometarly then picks back up and runs fine. any ideas would be great i have just run out.

Re: odd issue

If you haven't already done so I would suggest that you replace the CPS with a new one and when you splice the wires back in soldier them together and cover them with heat shrink tape. This will allow good contact and the momentary stalling should go away.
