Unhappy reverse lights dont come on. bulbs are fine

Hello,
I've searched all over the internet and cant find a solution to this problem. I have a 2000 Chevy S10 pickup manual 5-speed trans, extended cab, 4 cyl engine and I cannot get the reverse lights to come on no matter what I do. I've tried brand new bulbs that I know for a fact are working bulbs because I've tried them in another S10 Pickup same year. I've also checked all the fuses and they are all fine.

Is there anything else I could check or replace to get the reverse lights working?

Check the back up light switch on the transmission.

Should be battery voltage to one of the two wires with the key in the RUN position. The other wire goes to the lights.
