New tires, no cruise, wtf!
Last weekend i upgraded my tires from the stock 245/75/16 to 285's. Stock rims and cranked up the torsions the rest of the way. On the test drive i noticed i no longer had cruise control. Truck is an 04 z71 w/37k miles. Cruise worked and has never failed at anytime, but after i put on the new meats it no longer works. I don't have a programmer or any tune, but is this typical when upgrading tires sizes without reprogramming the cpu?

Re: New tires, no cruise, wtf!
2 Thoughts...
1) Try disconnecting your battery for 5 minutes then plug it back in again that will reset the Computer. Highly unlikely but, just a thought anyways. 2) When you cranked up the torsion bars is it possible that something connected to the Cruise Control Unit got disconnected from the Tranny??? Like the Cruise Control wiring or something?

Larger tires shouldn't make the cruise stop working. Sounds like something got disconnected.

Did you check the fuses, I thought there was a fuse for CC too.
